Social Advocacy
I believe that music is a powerful vehicle for breaking down barriers between people and combatting racism and Anti-Semitism. My choirs have performed around the world, in Jewish and non-Jewish venues and with Jewish and non-Jewish choirs. Several of our musical programs have aimed to foster solidarity among Jews, Christians and Muslims. Recently, I performed in The “Night” Holocaust Project, which aims to teach young people about the horrors of the Holocaust and the dangers of hate, and to promote peace. I am honoured to serve on the advisory council for this project, and to have participated in many other social advocacy initiatives over the years.
