From Shtib’l to Pirchai Kodesh:

A Musical Journey

This presentation recounts the personal journey of how a child Hazzan, growing up in an orthodox SHTIB’L community in Israel, became the Cantor, Shaliach Tzibur, and Music Director of “PIRCHAI KODESH” (Holy Blossom Temple), one of the largest reform congregations in Canada. It will highlight the great mentors of the Cantorial world, who inspired the diversions and achievements along the way, and who helped to shape my personal and professional philosophy, the development of my own cantorate, and my ability to integrate a wide repertoire of Jewish choral music with traditional musical elements.
