Bayamim Hahem Bazman Hazeh

This presentation traces the history of Shliach Tzibur Ba'al T'filah, as it evolved into the sacred calling of Hazzanuth. A variety of cantorial art styles are musically illustrated by the magnificent voices of Master Hazzanim, of the Golden Age of Hazzanuth and from the 20th and 21st centuries. It also explores Jewish musical traditions from Eastern and Western Europe, and how they influenced contemporary Cantorial styles and the education of the modern Cantorate.
